Just thought I would post to say that I'm still here and ok but I haven't made any cards because I'm having a rubbish week!
First my bank called on Sunday morning to check some transactions and the last two weren't me so my card had been cloned and had to be cancelled. I was really glad they spotted it so quickly and contacted me as it could have been much worse, but it is such a hassle not having a card as it is my only one. I had to go into town on Monday with my passport for ID to get some cash to see me through and have still not had my replacement card.
When I came out of work today I noticed that someone had hit the back of my car, scratching the bumper behind the back wheel. It probably didn't happen today as I would like to think my collegues would have owned up. It was probably last night outside my house or at the supermarket yesterday. So annoying to just find that and for nobody to have owned up- probably too small to go to the insurance but I don't want to just leave it so will have to pay for it myself. My car isn't anything fancy or new (except for the floral decoration I have added!)but I love it and like it to look smart. Much to the amusement of my neighbours, I wash it by hand!
On a less serious note I was teaching in a reception class yesterday and when I went to put on my trousers this morning I had green Play-doh dried onto the bum- Lovely!!
And while I'm having a moan this weather is driving me bonkers! Lovely sun- so we let our halltime go to a class that needed to rehearse their assembly and took the two year 2 classes out for PE, 10 minutes later it is bucketing down with rain and we have to dash in, only for the sun to come out again about 10 minutes later. It chucked it down again just as we were coming in again at the end but was dry by the time they had changed!
Anyway, I feel better now I have got these moans off my chest! Hopefully my new card will come tomorrow, my car won't cost too much to put right and I will get my Mojo back soon!
Thanks for listening!!!!

Giants Rugby League card.
Well I said in my last post that I needed to get a few cards in Giants colours done so while I was on a roll I got straight on to it! Huddersfield is the birthplace of Rugby League and it is pretty huge around here- I have even been to a few games myself and, while I don't claim to know what was going on, I really enjoyed it!
This rugby man from Jolly Nation is great with his pint of beer! I have used a combination of watercolouring with my brushpens and using them direct to get nice strong colours like the famous Claret and Gold kit! He is cut out and attached with 3D foam onto the chalked background. I am entering this card for Cupcake Craft's 'Card for a man or boy' challenge. I am also entering it for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which requires the use of brads or eyelets- there are 2 little brads on each sentiment strip.

Huddersfield Town FC cards.
I really needed some more cards in the colours of our local football team for my stash because they are always popular and I have run out. Colour Create have blue and green as their combo this week so it was the perfect opportunity to get some done. This stamp from Jolly Nation is great because the shirt is blank so I can make it into any colours I need- here I just drew in the vertical stripes with a fine, permanent pen before watercolouring it with brushmarkers. I prefer to use pens for this stamp because they give nice strong colours which suit the football strips.
I had fun using my VersaMark pad to make the background papers for this card. The blue has a football and stars repeated over it from a Woodware clear set and the green is a background with football words from Funstamps- although it is mostly covered up! I sponged toning ink around the edges of each.
Here are my cards all together. The figures have been cut out and attached with 3D foam over a chalked background. The sentiment is Imaginisce and I added the little football in the middle myself.
Finally, I am still keeping up putting a little decoration inside; not as fancy as many of you ladies, but I like it!

Don't know if you can see from the photos but the miri has an embossed star design in it and the base card has a 'cord' texture to it.
Right, now I need to do some rugby cards in Giants colours!!

Outlandish Owls Birthday Card!
When I look at this card it reminds me of the poem 'When I am old I shall wear purple' by Jenny Joseph! I made this card for Saturday Challenge- 'flowers'. I love this wacky paper from Papermania and just had to put it with this fabulous stamp from Pink Cat Studio and colour their hats to match. I made the flower with my Sizzix and some felt.

Cricketing Teddy Birthday Card.
I think this little guy from Personal Impressions clear stamps is so cute! I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils and Sansodor and used glossy accents on the ball and his nose. I followed the sketch at Dutch Dare this week, which is really great to work with. The cricket ball paper is from a Dovecraft Masculine pack, the green is Core'dinations and the blue and navy are from my stash. I'm entering this for Spoon Full of Sugar because they have blue and green as their colour scheme this week. It wasn't looking right when I first assembled the card so I drew on the stitched borders which really helped and added the 3 cricket balls which I cut out of the paper. Cute Card Thursday have 'Something Shiny' as their challenge so I'm entering this because of the gold star brad and the glossy accents. Finally I used a few of the offcuts to decorate the inside.
