I loved the colours, scallops and dots so I decided to base my card on these. My scallop scissors have never seen so much use! The little girl is Jolly Nation and has been coloured with brushmarkers- it would have been so much easier to do the dots red but I tried both out on a test stamp and this looked so much better that I knew I had to go for it! The flower and leaves are cut from felt using my Sizzix and echo the flowers in the paper and on her hat.
Making this reminded me so much of when I was a little girl. My parents loved strawberries and we used to go to a fruit farm in Lydiate right from the start of the season when they just had a few punnets on sale from the back porch of the house. When the season started properly they sold the strawberries from an ancient stone barn with a really low doorway. No matter how warm it was outside it always felt cool in there.

Hi Alison,
This is gorgeous. I just love this image - but her dress is so hard to colour! The papers are fab too, thanks for adding the link to it.
The felt "strawberry" flowers are so pretty.
Have a lovely day.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your kind comment. I love this card and how you did the inside. Strawberries are my favorite fruit. LOL.

Funnily enough I've eaten lots of strawberries today. Our village shop sells local strawberries and they are lovely. And so is your card. Nice and bright and cheerful. I know what you mean about colouring the dress, with me it was the WOJ strawberries I put on my card. They weren't very big but still looked better with the little seeds coloured and not just all done in red.
